Glenrose Farms is a small, family owned and operated livestock breeding operation that has been raising purebred, registered "Production" Dorsets, also referred to as "Old Style" or "Traditional" Dorsets, for over 10 years. They do not resemble the modern show sheep, but rather remain true to the Polled Dorsets of twenty and thirty years ago, including their out-of-season lambing capabilities, superior mothering abilities and strong carcass traits.

Our Dorset sheep are selected primarily for their twinning percentages and their out-of-season lambing patterns. Excellent mothering, physical soundness and carcass traits are also selected for in order to develop an easy-care flock that produces well for the shepherd who also works off the farm. Some Horned Dorset bloodlines have been infused into the flock to retain breed character and the above mentioned traits, traits that make a Dorset truly a Dorset!
