I've been working in webdesign since 1999, starting with this site, Glenrosefarms.com. Over the years this site has changed and been upgraded as my knowledge of webdesign grows.
I completed my Associate in Science Degree, Computer Information Systems/Computer Network Administration in 2005.
In my current position at Virginia Tech I've been primarily working on the two VT sites listed below but still maintain a number of sites for clients. My portfolio is listed as follows:
Webdesign: I currently maintain two websites for Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (VT). I completed the conversion of the existing websites to the template currently used on all VT sites.
www.pki.vt.edu uses a fixed width format. Both websites I maintain for Virginia Tech are WCAG and Section 508 compliant. The pki website features a email form and associated CAPTCHA at www.pki.vt.edu/rootca/pma/index.html.
www.pki.vt.edu/pdc uses a variable width format.
E-commerce: I set up a paypal payment system using XML and forms on a website in 2007. It is at www.rainbowhill.net/. I did not design the remainder of the site..
The Small, Medium and Large Display links on this page lead to pages with paypal buttons that I added to the site.
Additionally, I just completed assisting a client in setting up a MCart2005 ecommerce site at www.rapidpins.com. MCart is a comprehensive cart system that is completely template driven. Rather than HTML or PHP it uses tSys – The MCart 2005 Server Template Language on all of it's templates.

SEO: I have used Search Engine Optimization to make Glenrosefarms.com the #1 search engine return for a search of "Sheep dog training" + "San Diego". Now that we have moved to VA, it is the #1 return for "Sheep dog training" + "VA".
Ajax, including jQuery: The menu on this page uses jQuery as does the example at www.naturalherding.com/Jack/jQuery/tables.html. There is an example of some work I did with Ajax at www.naturalherding.com/Jack/Ajax/.
